•The end of January saw staff and members take part in the St.Luke’s Hospice 4k Midnight Stiletto and Slipper Walk at Lakeside shopping centre.
•The evening started at 10.30pm when we had to arrive to register ourselves. We were then free for an hour and half to have a look at the pamper stalls. These included nails, eyelashes, foundations and a few more.
•At around 11 the entertainment started with a group called the “Stiletto Girls” who sang a wide variety of songs.
•The atmosphere was good and everyone was eager to get going. The ladies from Jazzercise started the warm up at around 11.50pm and dead on midnight the walk started. We had to complete 2 circuits of the ground floor, 2 circuits of the 1st floor then go up to the food court where Pizza Express provided a buffet. There was also a Michael Buble tribute to sing us across the finish line.
•It was a good night if a bit tiring and between us here at Curves we managed to raise in excess of £1,000 with our very own Sue raising over £400 of that herself and her sister Trish not too far behind at over £200! Well done ladies.
•We would like to thank everyone that took part with us including Sue, Trish, Kelly, Claire, Christina, Eileen, Sherryl, Laura, Theresa and not forgetting our very own bag man David!!
•Big thank you as well to all of you that sponsored us. We do appreciate it.
